A major fire dramatically ripped through a warehouse on Monday night in Kayl, completely destroying the building and needing several firefighting teams to tackle the blaze.
The fire was reported at about 8pm on route de Dudelange at a wooden warehouse and firefighters from the town rushed to the scene.
However, due to the location of the building and its structure, there was inadequate water supplies and more departments from Bettembourg and Dudelange were called in to help.
With special breathing equipment firefighters from the front of the building were able to gradually extinguish several pockets of fire, while another team used a turntable ladder to reach the flames elsewhere.
It took a total of one and a half hours for all the flames to be put out but the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
While there was major material damage cause, no injuries were reported in the incident.
