French President Francois Hollande said Monday France would take in 24,000 refugees over the next two years and warned that without a united EU policy to share the burden of refugees, the borderless Schengen system would collapse.
(AFP) French President Francois Hollande said Monday France would take in 24,000 refugees over the next two years and warned that without a united EU policy to share the burden of refugees, the borderless Schengen system would collapse.
Hollande also offered to host an international conference on Europe's worst refugee crisis since World War II.
