With over 700 students on the first day of a new school year at St George’s, 710
to be exact, Thursday morning's atmosphere was full of nervous
excitement.
Parents hugged their children goodbye and wished them
luck on their first day either of their new school, or their return
for another year.
The corridors were filled with happy chattering
students discussing the events that occurred over their six week
summer break.
Over 100 of the students will be encountering a whole
new experience, learning new faces and names, meeting new members of
staff and finding their way for the first time around the school.
St George's staff will do their upmost to make their
first days as enjoyable as possible and a spokesperson for the school
is quoted with saying "we are looking forward to the challenges
of the next academic year and are proud to be celebrating 25 years of
"achieving potential through challenge and care".
