Luxembourg food safety authorities are recalling gluten free chocolate bars produced by Italian brand Schär after they were found to contain salmonella.

(CS) Luxembourg food safety authorities are recalling gluten free chocolate bars produced by Italian brand Schär after they were found to contain salmonella.
The Schär Twin Bar is sold at a number of different supermarkets around the country and is has been ascertained that some of the affected batch has already been purchased.
Packages with the batch numbers 5142, 5146, 5189 and 5190 with the best before dates May 22, May 26, July 8 and July 9 next year are affected. The affected items were produced in the Netherlands.
Customers who recently bought the product are advised to check the details on the packaging.
Salmonella infections can cause symptoms including diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, fever, chills and headaches.
