(CS) Students at Luxembourg's St George's International School completed their A-level exams with a 100 percent pass rate, with more students receiving A* or A on their exams than the UK average.
Some 40 percent of Year 13 examinations were graded A* or A, compared to a UK average of 25.9 percent. Additionally, in total 95 percent of papers were graded A* to C, leaving only five percent with lower marks.
One student achieved A* grades in all her subjects.
Graduates of the 2014/15 academic year will continue their education at universities in the UK, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Ireland and South Korea.
Year 12 students showed similar academic prowess in their A/S Level exams, with a 92 percent pass rate and 50 percent of examinations graded A or B, with 68 percent of exams graded A to C. There is no A* grade in A/S Level exams.
Three students achieved A grades in all subjects taken.
Year 11 students meanwhile produced a 99 percent pass rate in their IGCSE exams, with 85 percent of examinations graded A* to C, with 44 percent graded A* or A.
Head of Secondary Mark Fleet commented: “The overall performance of students this year at IGCSE and A Level is very pleasing indeed and has allowed all our graduates to attend the universities of their choice.”
In a statement published Thursday, the school congratulated its students on their excellent results. “Many students surpassed expectations and should be justly proud of their hard work, effort and commitment.”
