Anti-whale hunt activists to hold Luxembourg vigil

A silent vigil is to be held in Luxembourg on Friday in support of the Sea Shepherd activists arrested for protesting against a whale hunt.
Luxembourger Kevin Schiltz was one of five people arrested on July 23 in the Faroe Islands while attempting to stop and document the cull of pilot whales known as the Grind.
Last Friday an court ordered the Luxembourger to pay a 5,000 kroner fine or face an eight-day prison sentence. Sea Shepherd has launched an appeal against the sentences and verdicts.
Supporters of the activists are urged to dress in black shirts meet in front of the Royal Danish Consulate in rue JP Brasseur, in Luxembourg City from 6pm on Friday, August 14.
