Cyclists have their own lane linking Bonnevoie to the train station thanks to a new stretch of cycle path that opened this week.
The lane on the Jean-Pierre Büchler bridge, part of the Route de Thionville crossing the railway tracks, involved widening the pavement and removing concrete troughs.
The measure is part of a strategy to extend the capital's cycle path network and encourage more people to avoid using their cars and get on their bikes.
Other future steps include improving signage for cycle paths and installing more bike park frames.
