Saturday, July 4 went down in history in Luxembourg this year for being the hottest day in the month of July since records began.
With the mercury tipping a blistering 36.1°C, it was the hottest July day ever recorded at Findel's meteorological station.
The scorchingly hot day topped the last July peak temperature recorded in 1995 with 35.7°C.
The hottest August temperature was recorded in 2003 when maximum temperatures hit a whopping 37.9°C.
The second hottest august was in 1998 with 36.6°C. July 4, 2015 is now ranked the third hottest day ever recorded since records began at Findel in 1947.
