Two wild boars were killed and one motorist was injured in a series of crashes on the N11 on Wednesday morning.
According to police a motorist was driving on the route d'Echternach near Dommeldange at 5.25am on Wednesday when he struck a herd of wild boar crossing the road.
When he stopped to secure the accident site, a driver approaching from behind drove into the rear of the car, pushing his vehicle into a ditch.
At the same time, an oncoming vehicle crashed into a wild boar, which had been hit in the previous collision.
The driver of the third car suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Two of the three wild boars seen at the site were killed. The third escaped into a nearby forest.
