The dinner in white flash mob phenomenon returned to Luxembourg City on Friday when scores of people enjoyed an al-fresco picnic in front of the Dräi Eechelen and Mudam museums.
With stunning views over the City valley and after what had been a sweltering day in Luxembourg, picnickers were able to eat and chat with friends to candlelight.
Dinner in white is an international flash mob movement in which diners are invited to register for the event and dress in white. Few know the venue beforehand and are only notified on the evening.
In previous years, the event has attracted anything up to 350
participants. The concept has been around in Europe for around 20 years
with the idea of reclaiming a public space in a playful way and bringing
people together.
