Luxembourg City's Youth Hostel terrace was decked out in stars and stripes at the weekend for a relaxed celebration of American Independence Day.
The July 4 party was co-hosted by the American Women’s Club of Luxembourg (AWCL) and Democrats Abroad Luxembourg (DAL) and offered a chance for friends and families to celebrate this holiday in typical American style.
“Because I have kids—my daughter has been here half of her life and my son was born here—I feel like they’re missing out. I want them to be exposed to American events and patriotism, and at least a little bit of their American culture,” said AWCL member Tina Pace.
Traditional American fare was offered to guests, including hamburgers and cupcakes and there were fun events for children, including face-painting.
