A veritable heatwave is on its way to Luxembourg with forecasters predicting temperatures to reach 32°C by the middle of next week.
Meteolux predicted storms for Friday night after which the temperature should rise again, up to 24°C on Saturday and reaching 32°C by next Wednesday.
After what is expected to be a cloudy weekend, the skies should clear by Monday to give a full week of blue skies and bright sunshine.
By the following Sunday, forecasters predict a reprieve from the heatwave with storms on July 5.
But, the sunny spells are expected to continue well into July.
With high temperatures predicted, wort.lu reminds readers of the Luxembourg Health Ministry's heatwave guidelines.
It encourages residents, particularly the aged and infirm, to drink at least one-and-a-half litres of water per day, to stay out of direct sunlight, close the shutters in the day time to cool the home and to regularly take tepid baths or showers.
