Friends and family paid tribute at a funeral on Thursday for a Luxembourg police woman who was mown down and killed by a suspected drunk driver on Friday.
Yasmine Grisius, 39, was hit by a car in Dippach while checking another vehicle for a broken headlight during a routine control on June 5.
Another car which was signalled to stop by a colleague, swerved into the car being checked, trapping the victim between the two.
In a moving funeral ceremony in Garnich on Thursday afternoon attended by scores of people, friends, family and colleagues remembered the mother-of-two.
The service was also attended by Luxembourg ministers Etienne Schneider and François Bausch.
Since Friday, the Luxembourg Police Force has been in morning with flags at half-mast at the Commisariat.
The senseless killing is the tenth time that a police officer has been killed in the line of duty in Luxembourg.
Prior to June 5, two police officers were shot, one in 1985 during a bank robbery and another in 1987 who was killed when he approached escape prisoners in a café.
A further two police officers were run over and five died in road traffic accidents.
