(CS/rar) Luxembourg freight airline Cargolux on Sunday welcomed an addition to its fleet, with the Boeing 747-400F previously owned by Jade Cargo and Southern Air Transport.
The white plane arrived at the airport in Findel on Sunday and is yet to be branded with the Cargolux logo.
With the registration LX-JCV the aircraft is expected to be used mainly for charter flights, a growing business branch for the airline.
Additionally, it will act as a replacement when other planes are in maintenance.
A video by plane spotter Sven Pfister shows the arrival of the Boeing, which carried out a number of test manoeuvres.
The latest member of the Cargolux fleet was built in 2006 and first used by Jade Cargo, which ceased operations in 2011. Before joining the Luxembourg airline, it operated flights for Southern Air Transport, which in 2012 filed for brankruptcy protection.
Between 2012 and 2014, the plane was stationed in San Antonio, Texas.
Before embarking on its journey to Luxembourg, the plane underwent the so-called D check, a thorough and comprehsive inspection and overhaul.
