A quarter of all asylum applications submitted to Luxembourg since the beginning of the year were from Kosovan nationals.
According to figures published by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, 25 percent of the 353 applications received came from people from Kosovo, making this the largest single nationality group to apply for asylum.
But, it would appear their chances of having their applications approved are slim.
The same report, showed that a third of failed applicants who were returned to their country of origin in April, were returned to Kosovo.
Just over a tenth of failed applications came from Montenegro and 8 percent from people from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
April figures
A total 78 fresh asylum applications were submitted to Luxembourg in April, the lowest amount recorded in a single month this year.
Compared to previous years, the figure is higher than April 2014 (49) but lower than the same month in 2013 (91).
Of the total received, the majority came from European countries (48), followed by African states (16) and Asian countries (13).
A total of 94 decisions were taken in April, 60 applications were refused while only five applicants were granted asylum.
