'Steinfort Adventure' park in the west of Luxembourg is preparing to reopen its doors next week, after undergoing renovations and remodelling work following its destruction during a storm three years ago.
Back in July 2014, a major storm raged through Steinfort and
its Adventure park that boasted many tree-climbing routes and other attractions, rendering the future of the popular site and its staff uncertain.
Three years later the attraction is set to reopen to the
public on Wednesday, August 23.
"We relied on the financial support from the commune who
gave us time to find a solution. Today we are happy to announce that we are able to reopen
soon," said a spokesperson for the park.
The new park now offers more diversity than its predecessor. The difficulty of the routes will be marked by colours: yellow for
those who want an easy relaxing climb, right up to black for adventurers looking for
real adrenaline, and a route which includes an 11-metre-high drop!
The owners of the site also took the opportunity to install new
security systems for the adventure park.
Although Steinfort Adventure opens on August 23, the official
inauguration will take place on September 12.
