(CS/DL) Talks are reportedly underway between real estate developer Codic, in charge of the Royal Hamilius project, and coffee chain Starbucks, although details are not expected before the new year.
A department store, supermarket, shops, restaurants and cafés are planned for the new Royal Hamilius development. Although no names have been confirmed, brands such as Galeria Inno and Delhaize have been associated with the project.
New sketches of the Hamilius square, released by Codic, also show a Starbucks.
Codic International has confirmed to the “Luxemburger Wort” that it is indeed in talks with the US coffee chain to open a franchise in Luxembourg City. It would be the first for the country.
However, nothing has been finalised, Codic added.
The secret will be revealed in January, the company said, when all tenants of the development will be presented.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2019, although the department store is set to open its doors earlier, in 2017.
