Students at the International School Luxembourg (ISL) grapple with the difficulties of adulthood when they breathe new life into a 2,000-year-old Greek tragedy.
Antigone is a modern adaptation of the Sophocles play, written by Jean Anouilh. Exploring a young woman's traumatic and fatal journey from childhood to adulthood, the play is a study of pride and the battle of idealism against realism.
Directed by Scott Macky, Keana Kasinathan plays the title role of Antigone, with Rasmus Erikkson as Creon, her overbearing yet sympathetic uncle.
The play is performed at the ISL Auditorium over three nights (December 11, 12 and 13) on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry is free and the play begins at 7pm.
