(ADW) In just under two week's time what has been one of Luxembourg's fastest growing music festivals over the past five years, will blast onto its familiar stage in Steinfort for the very last time.
Mess for Masses, dedicated to local music talent began life in 2009 as a simple musical event much like any other, organised by the music group “Harmonie Kleinbettingen”. However it rapidly grew in popularity and size becoming a respected festival in its own right attracting sponsors and of course musicians and the “masses”.
In fact Mess for Masses has established itself on Luxembourg's musical landscape as one of those local festivals not to be missed, jostling for space alongside some of the summer festivals, all be it indoors considering the time of year.
The festival is a respected event by musicians and those working in the music industry so why is it coming to an end? Organisers explained that they wanted to “go out on a high” with the best event yet, and that the plans never were to have a festival that lasted forever.
So on Saturday November 15, Mess for Masses celebrates a host of great local bands in a wide variety of styles for the very last time at the sports complex Centre Roudemer in Steinfort near the Belgian border.
