Authorities suspend homologation for Porsche Cayenne diesel model

Luxembourg's vehicle certification agency and the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure have decided to suspend the full homologation for the Porsche Cayenne model, equipped with the 3.0L TDI diesel engine, 193 kW, Euro 6.

Luxembourg's vehicle certification agency and the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure have decided to suspend the full homologation for the Porsche Cayenne model, equipped with the 3.0L turbocharged direct injection (TDI) diesel engine, 193 kW, Euro 6. 

The German carmaker is no longer authorised to sell the diesel-powered model in Luxembourg following tests that revealed the presence of a 'defeat device'  until it meets European regulations.
