SES profit rises, says outlook for 2017 is stable

Revenues for the global satellite industry have risen from $122 billion (€104.3 billion) in 2007 to $261 billion last year.

Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES reported a first-half profit increase of 21.6 per cent compared with the same period of 2016 and said it expected its earnings to be "broadly stable" this year and next.

Profit for the period rose to €277.5 million from €228.3 million, while earnings per A share were €0.56 compared with €0.55 in the first half of 2016.
