Statec report reveals socio-economic inequalities across Luxembourg

Luxembourg's statistics office argues that a socio-economic analysis of each commune is necessary and serves to help authorities define future economic and social policies, rather than stigmatise lower-ranking communes.

A new Statec report presenting a detailed analysis of Luxembourg's communes, reveals significant social and economic inequalities across the country.

Out of the 15 best ranking communes in the Grand Duchy, six are located around Luxembourg City, four are part of the Grevenmacher region, while three belong to the canton of Capellen and two other municipalities lie in the area of Esch-sur-Alzette.
