Students had a chance to discover new languages and celebrate their own native tongues when St George's International School participated in European Day of Languages on Friday.
Among the many activities on offer at the Hamm-based school, Key Stage 5 students gave taster classes in Greek, Polish, Farsi and Czech in a bid to open their eyes to the many languages spoken in the world. Students came to school, dressed in the colours of their respective home country, they worked on iPads to create their own animations about the importance of learning languages, and they also learned popular French and German songs and competed in a multilingual spelling competition.
