(CS) New musical director of Luxembourg's Philharmonic Orchestra Gustavo Gimeno will pick up the baton on Friday for a special evening of Spanish music, while preparing to take his new post for the start of the 2015/16 season.
Gimeno was appointed to the post in June, and will take over from Emmanuel Krivine, leaving behind his post as percussionist at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, where he also worked as the assistant to chief conductor Mariss Jansons.
