World's biggest steelmaker says demand remains strong in core markets, supporting robust order books and a healthy levels of steel spreads.

Luxembourg-based ArcelorMittal, the world's biggest steelmaker, reported a 19.3 per cent year-on-year rise in its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the second quarter and said demand is "robust".
A survey of 23 analysts, released by the company on July 24, had forecast a 22 per cent increase.
