Sam Steen catches up with Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso, an electro-pop duo from North Carolina, who are appearing as a free showcase act at the Rockhalcafé on Tuesday night!

Sylvan Esso started out as a bit of fun, a small collaboration between Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn while their other main projects took a break, but as Sylvan Esso took off, the other bands took a back seat and now, all of their focus is going in to making this a success. The duo first met when they featured on the same bill but playing in two separate bands, Amelia with an a cappella folk called Mountain Man and Nick as his electro alter ego, Made Of Oak. Nick explains how they started to work together.
