Royal couple visit Steinfort

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie, visited Steinfort on Thursday as part of their tour of regional development centres around Luxembourg. Considering the last Royal visit to Steinfort was made by previous Grand Duke Jean in 1953, the couple received a warm welcome from the locals.

The real joy in the visit however, was for the patients and employees of the “Hôpital Intercommunal de Steinfort”. The polite couple shared jokes, visited the geriatric ward, and were the first to sign the town's new  “Golden Book”, as the previous volume was full. Following the hospital visit, the tour continued with a visit to the Forest and Nature Centre Mirador and a presentation at the “Al Schmelz” cultural centre. The day ended with the cordial couple socialising at a reception with Steinfort residents.
