(CS) The Luxembourg government is in talks with all religious communities to discuss funding, Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel told the “Luxemburger Wort”, adding that religion is private and should not be paid by the state.
The statement followed comments made by Vice-Premier Etienne Schneider, who said to RTL that the state was looking for ways for the church to independently fund itself, for example in the shape of a tax or other type of direct contribution.
