Motorists faced lengthy tailbacks on Thursday evening after two lorries collided on the A13 motorway towards Schengen.
The collision occurred at around 6pm, around 500 metres before the Markus Berg tunnel. It was not known whether anyone was injured.
Within minutes a traffic jam stretching five kilometres had formed. One lane was completely closed to traffic for around an hour.
By 7pm, emergency services had cleared the scene and traffic resumed as normal.
