Residents spend an average of €770 on their holidays in 2016

Eighty per cent of Luxembourg's population went on holiday last year, with France and Germany the top destinations.

Statec, Luxembourg's statistics office, said residents spent last year an average of €770 on their holidays. In total €1.09 billion was spent on tourism.

Eighty per cent of the population went on holiday last year, with France and Germany the top destinations. Ninety-two per cent of all travel was within Europe, Statec said in a statement.
