Luxembourg's communal election is coming up on October 8 and the government is calling on citizens, as well as any residents who have lived here for more than five years, to vote and have a say in how their community is run.

Even though many of the foreigners, who make up 48 per cent of the population, live here for large parts of their lives, many of them did not register to vote in this year's communal election before the deadline on July 13.
