(AFP) A monsoon-like rainstorm dumped a record amount of rain on Paris, flooding streets, snarling traffic and briefly forcing the closure of metro stations, officials said on Monday.
The national weather service Meteo France said 6.8 centimetres of rain fell in a violent two-hour storm late Sunday, dramatically ending days of hot and humid weather.
