International law firm NautaDutilh has
opened a Luxembourg desk in its New York office.
The company's New York satellite team
advises US clients on Luxembourg, Dutch and Belgian law, particularly with regards to
cross-border banking and finance and corporate M&A transactions.
NautaDutilh's Luxembourg office,
located in Belair, employs 45 lawyers and serves mainly financial
institutions, asset managers, large and mid-sized corporates, private
equity firms, funds sponsors and IT companies.
The new Luxembourg desk in the US will
be headed by Jad Nader, who recently became local partner. The
company said his arrival will increase their capacity to handle Dutch
and Luxembourg matters locally.
"Having a Luxembourg presence in our
London office has given us a great advantage in the scope of our
service to local clients," Josée Weydert, Managing Partner of
NautaDutilh Luxembourg, said in a statement. "I look forward to
seeing the same growth take place in New York."
The firm's board member, Petra Zijp,
added that the expansion will allow them to "markedly improve our
24/7 service to clients".
Nader specialises in banking and
financial law and has expertise in the field of Islamic finance.
