(CS) The 2014 International Festival in Echternach starts on Saturday, with the programme taking music fans all the way to December with a mix of classical music and jazz.
The Echternach festival is split into two parts, with the classical music concerts starting on May 17 and continuing until December 5, with a summer break in July and August.
More than half a dozen soloists are lined up to play including Cathy Krier (piano), Cyprien Katsaris (piano) and Gábor Boldoczki (trumpet), among others. Luxembourg's Chamber Orchestra will perform a tribute to jazz; there will be choir performances, a Canadian brass group, the European Union Baroque Orchestra and much more.
The Jazz Days meanwhile don't start until September, with four concerts scheduled in September, October and November.
