Four elements spectacle to celebrate blast furnace history

A giant zipline at 90m high was installed between the two blast furnaces and a fire and ice dance show was part of the show.

The industrial history of Belval's blast furnaces was celebrated on Saturday evening with spectacular shows linked to the four elements -- fire, water, air and earth -- which were also the focus point of the cast iron production.

The opening ceremony of La Fête des Hauts Fourneaux (festival of the blast furnaces) reminded onlookers of the last casting which took place in 1997.
