A gas explosion left a house in Esch-sur-Alzette damaged, resulting in road closures on Monday morning.
According to emergency services, a gas cylinder which may have been leaking, caught fire inside the construction shed on “rue de Montepellier” in Lallange, a district of Esch-sur-Alzette, in southern Luxembourg, shortly before noon.
The cylinder then exploded, destroying part of the construction shed in which it was stored and the façade of a nearby house. No-one appears to have been injured. However, several roads were closed to traffic.
