(CS) The tap water in Remich is once again drinkable, the town council said on Friday afternoon, with water quality within the norm.
Measurements had shown the water to be consistently within the norm for human consumption on Friday, with authorities giving the all-clear to residents.
However, no cause was given for the problem, which had seen residents advised late on Wednesday evening to boil tap water for at least 10 minutes before drinking because it was of “bad bacteriological” quality.
A similar incident in Koerich and Steinfort earlier this year was caused by construction work, which led to pollution of water supplies.
