(CS) A person was hit by a train between Schifflange and Noertzange on Tuesday morning, causing delays on the Luxembourg – Rodange service.
The incident occurred around 11.15am, with all train traffic on the route halted for around two hours.
Train service CFL installed replacement buses and urged passengers to use other public transport to travel between Luxembourg and Rodange.
Around 1pm, the tracks reopened and rail traffic resumed.
No details were given on the circumstances of the accident; however, police said shortly before 6pm that the man was fatally injured.
