Lydie Polfer confirmed as Luxembourg City mayor
The Luxembourg City council on Monday evening confirmed DP politician Lydie Polfer as the capital's new mayor, replacing now-Premier Xavier Bettel.
(CS) The Luxembourg City council on Monday evening confirmed DP politician Lydie Polfer as the capital's new mayor, replacing now-Premier Xavier Bettel.
The post will be familiar territory for Polfer, who served as Luxembourg City mayor from 1982 to 1999, succeeding her father, Camille Polfer, who had served as mayor for two years before quitting the post for health reasons.
