Alarmed residents of the building located on Rue Jean Wolter, contacted emergency services after a strong gas odour could be smelt on all floors.
When firefighters arrived they confirmed the potential danger and the entire building was completely evacuated of its eight residents.
After inspection is was discovered that there was indeed a gas leak emanating from a pipe located underneath the building.
Eventually, after the leak was fixed and apartment building aired, residents were able to return home.
