Cargolux is launching a new weekly service to the capital of Mali, beginning December 5.
The Luxembourg-based airline will fly to Bamako using its efficient Boeing 747 freighters, offering deck capacity for transporting airfreight supplies which support local industries.
In 2010, Bamako Airport inaugurated a new cargo terminal with an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes and extended the runway to 3,180 metres, enabling the operation of large aircraft, such as Cargolux’s 747 freighters.
Flight CV7124 operates every Thursday on the Luxembourg – Bamako – Lagos – Libreville – Nairobi – Manston – Luxembourg route. Departure in Luxembourg is scheduled for 4.30pm GMT with arrival in Bamako at 9.40pm GMT.
The new service means Cargolux adds another African destination to its worldwide network bringing its total number of destinations on the continent up to 13.
