(CS) Luxembourg's Russian Club will be hosting the third edition of the popular Russian Ball on January 18, featuring a six-course meal by Michelin star chef Renato Favaro, a fashion show, auction, tombola and ballet performance.
The black tie charity ball will be held at the Cercle Cité in Place d'Armes with TV personality Monica Semedo leading through the evening.
On the menu is a mouthwatering six-course menu, created by Favaro and featuring a chicken and dumpling soup, a salmon and caviar starter, veal “pelmeni”, sturgeon with champagne sauce, boeuf Stroganoff and a “vacherin glacé”.
During dinner there will be an Hervé Léger fashion show and a presentation of jewellery by the “bijouterie” Schroeder.
There will also be a ballet performance starring Larissa Lezhnina and Jozef Varga of the National Dutch Ballet, as well as songs by tenor Evgeny Dmitriev and pianist Igor Zapravdin.
Guests will also be able to take part in an auction and tombola, with a private jet trip among the top prizes, and party the night away with a DJ closing the night.
With around 78,000 euros in proceeds from the past two editions, the Russian Club has been able to support SOS Children's Villages in Russia, as well as the Sunflower Foundation, dedicated to helping children with immunodeficiency diseases.
