(CS) A driver repeatedly tried biting a police officer when the latter wanted to remove the man from his car after he was found to be driving drunk in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 2.25am during the night from Saturday to Sunday, when police spotted a stationary car with the motor running and the headlights on in Differdange.
As a police officer was approaching the car, the obviously drunk driver wanted to drive off at full speed, but the car was not in gear.
When police wanted to pull the car's key from the ignition, the man tried biting the officer in his arm. Once out of his car, the driver continued trying to kick and punch police and make his escape.
The man was handcuffed and a protocol has been issued against him.
