ING Solidarity Awards help scores of Luxembourg charities
Luxembourg charities and not for profits received a welcome windfall at the ING solidarity awards, which gave away thousands of euros to worthy causes.

Luxembourg charities and not for profits received a welcome windfall at the ING solidarity awards, which gave away thousands of euros to worthy causes.
Among the 121 associations nominated for the ING Solidarity Awards, the 40 which received the most public votes were awarded 1,000 euros each.
Under a second category, national and international wholly or partially voluntary associations were able to gain funding for their projects. The winners were as follows:
National projects from 100 percent voluntary associations:
1st prize (6,000 euros) Vers un autre regard ASBL;
International projects from 100 percent voluntary associations:
1st prize (6,000 euros) Ayubowan ASBL;
2nd prize (3,000 euros) Orang Utan Help Lëtzebuerg ASBL.
International projects from partially voluntary associations:
1st prize (6,000 euros) Enfants de l'Espoir;
2nd prize (3,000 euros) Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde.
ING Luxembourg CEO Luc Verbeken said: “I am really proud of the support and visibility that ING has been able to give to a number of local associations again this year through the ING Solidarity Awards. This shows how close we remain to our roots in Luxembourg, and it is something that we intend to develop further.”
