A pensioner died when their car veered through a metal fence and plunged into a field on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at around 11.15am on Route de Wilwerdange, Weiswampach, in the north of Luxembourg.
According to police, the driver, a 66-year-old man, missed a left turn and careered off the road and down a hill into a field.
The vehicle came to a halt on its side in a field. Despite the assistance of emergency services and a Luxembourg Air Rescue helicopter, the driver died of his injuries.
