Driver clocked speeding more than twice the limit in 50km zone
It was around 10am on Saturday while police were carrying out speed checks in Bettembourg that a car approached them not travelling slightly above the speed limit but more than double the limit for the section of road.

(ADW) It was around 10am on Saturday while police were carrying out speed checks in Bettembourg that a car approached them not travelling slightly above the speed limit but more than double the limit for the section of road.
In a 50km per hour zone the car was clocked doing 112km per hour and immediately stopped.
The motorist turned out to be a young driver who only recently passed the driving test and was still in the “probation” period. Added to that the offender was reported not to be wearing a seatbelt during the incident.
