(CS) Luxembourg's Prince Félix and Princess Claire visited a tea bowl exhibition in Tokyo as part of their visit to Japan to mark the 100th anniversary of Sophia University.
On November 1, the newlyweds represented the Grand Ducal family at a special celebration to mark the centenary of the Jesuit university in Tokyo. Also at hand were the Japanese Emperor and Empress, as well as Luxembourg Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich.
The following day, Félix and Claire did some sight-seeing and visited the Nezu Museum, a fine arts institute housing the private collection of Nezu Kaichiro.
The young royals visited the exhibition “Ido Tea Bowls – Treasured Possisons of Muromachi Daimyo”, followed by a rainy stroll in the museum's garden.
Following their wedding in September, Félix and Claire embarked on their honeymoon, the destination of which was not revealed to the public. Before the wedding the couple announced that they are planning on running a family-owned winery in the south of France, while Claire continues to pursue her PhD studies.
This was the first official engagement of the couple as husband and wife.
