The days are getting shorter as October is coming to an end, but don't worry - this weekend has plenty in store to brighten up your autumn days.

MUSIC
October 25: Casper, Atelier, doors at 8pm
German rapper Casper is back in Luxembourg after his last show at Rock-A-Field in 2012. The show is sold out.
October 25: Passenger, Rockhal Box, doors at 7pm
British folk-rock singer Michael Rosenberg's October show has been sold out after his success at Rockhal in February.
October 26: Eurogala, Salles des Fêtes in Roeser, doors at 7pm
Determined not to miss out on the Eurovision although Luxembourg isn't competing anymore, in 2007 a fan group decided to hold their own Eurogala Night. This year is the sixth edition, and the night will be a traditional song contest where people, not only from Luxembourg but other countries, take part by singing a song from the Eurovision repertoire. They will be scrutinised by a panel of 12 international judges, each representing a nation – just like in the real Eurovision. The show will be hosted in English, French and Luxembourgish, and previous Eurovision contestants will grace the Eurogala stage. October 26: Stahlzeit, Rockhal Club, doors at 7pm
Rammstein fans, are you ready? Stahlzeit has been touring the world since 2010 impersonating Rammstein and their shows. Performing in real Rammstein style, hydraulic stages will be used, light trusses will be lifted and dropped and missiles will cross the hall before the audience drowns in a pool of confetti. And of course, they'll create the bombastic sound of Rammstein too. Tickets cost 28,50 euros and can be purchased on Rockhal's website.
October 26: Morcheeba, Atelier, doors at 8pm
The British trip-hop trio released their newest album Head Up High earlier this month – at their concert in Luxembourg on Saturday, Luxembourgish Synthesis will be Morcheeba's support act. Tickets cost 35 euros. For more information, click here.
October 27: Seasick Steve, Rockhal Club, doors at 8pm
After a memorable performance at the Rockhal in 2010, Seasick Steve is back in Luxembourg to play the blues on his home made instruments. His new album Hubcap Music mixes traditional blues style with boogie, and according to the 72-year old's hand written press release the album got the very name because “I play some songs on a guitar made out of 2 hubcaps and a garden hoe”. Tickets cost 26 euros plus a 2.60 euro pre sale fee.
CINEMA
October 25 to 27: CinÉast, Cinémathèque, 8.30pm
This year's Oriental and Eastern European Film Festival is coming to an end this weekend. Before the Grand Prix on Sunday, four films will be screened on Friday and Saturday. They include the Bulgarian production Sofia's Last Ambulance on Friday at 6.30pm, Polish In the Name of, 1956 production Before it's over from the Czech Republic and Sweet Movie, a Canadian, German and French co-production from 1974. The three films will all be screened on Saturday, at respectively 6.30pm, 8.30pm and 10pm.For more information, go to cineast.lu.
PERFORMING ARTS
Otober 26 to 27: Picelectronic, CarréRotondes, 2pm to 7pm
“The festival for head banging kids and grooving parents” has live music performances and several different workshops in store for people all ages. Tickets cost 5 euros for children and double for adults. For more information, click here.
October 26: Art Freak Studio Visit, Mudam, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
If you're 13 to 21 years old and would like to see how and where an artist or designer works, you should join Art Freak for a visit to design studio Studio Delle Alpi. It's free, but booking is mandatory either at artfreak@mudam.lu or at 45 37 85 531. For more information, click here.
October 26: Hommage to the idiot, Kulturfabrik Esch, 8pm
The theatre collective Little Lies has been organising artistic and social events and the two actors ask themselves “where does idiocy reside and what forms can it take?” and challenge idiocy. Entrance is free. For more information, click here.
EXHIBTIONS
Until January 5: Christodoulos Panayiotou – “and”, Casino Luxembourg
With an extensive portfolio of previous exhibitions, 35-year old Christodoulos Panayiotou from Cyprus has finally made his way to Luxembourg city, where he will be exhibiting his solo exhibition “and”, inspired by his interest for history, sociology and modern society.

Until December 1: Brent Birnbaum – “Ride (W/) The Wind”, Casino Luxembourg
Birnbaum's installation in the Aquarium at Casino Luxembourg is a maze made up of nine pieces, making the individual visitor in charge of their personal tour. The American artist aims to find out more about the visitors and public's feelings in general by asking nine intrusive questions from birth through to death. For years, Birnbaum has integrated performances in his work, which visitors will be able to experience from October 13 to 27 and from November 25 to December 1.

OTHER
October 26: Hockey Club Luxembourg's Familiy Day, Boy Konen Stadium Cessange, 10.30am
Non members who might be interested in starting Hockey are welcome to join the club's family day in Cessange, where there will be matches played by various age groups and warm and cold drinks served.
October 27: Halloween for kids, LuxLait Vitarium, 2pm to 7pm
With 45 activity stands LuxLait is ensuring plenty entertainment for mini witches and other spooky guests. Children can get their faces painted, decorate freshly baked muffins, watch the clown and magician do tricks and a lucky someone will win the price for best costume.
Tickets for the children cost 21 euros, and parents can join for free. Drinks and snacks are included in the participation fee, but reservations must be made before October 25 at 25 02 80 222 or at info@vitarium.lu.
