Woman brutally attacked inside her home

(CS) Police are appealing for information after a woman was violently attacked inside her home in Luxembourg City on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 10.30am in Rue CM Spoo in the capital.

According to police, a woman was attacked inside her appartment. How the suspect entered the apartment or details of the crime were not reported.

However, the woman was left severely injured.

According to witnesses a man was seen climbing out of a window on the ground floor of the building and then fled in direction of Boulevard de la Pétrusse, possibly the Place Emile Metz.

The man is described as white, around 20 years old, of small build and around 1.70 metres tall.

He was wearing a black jacket and black trousers and was carrying a yellow carrier bag with black uppercase writing on it. He spoke French.

Police are appealing for members of the public with information on the suspect or his whereabouts to call 113.
