A German prisoner on the run has been arrested after he was found camping under a bridge in Remich.
According to police, the 43-year-old fugitive went on the run after he was sentenced to two and a half years for assault by a German court.
Luxembourg Police said they attempted to arrest the man in Wincheringen, Wormeldange at the end of September but failed.
The man evaded capture until October 3, police revealed this week.
Equipped with a European arrest warrant, the escapee was collected from the banks of the Moselle river and returned to German Police on October 9.
